The Baltimore Orioles go for their first sweep of the season when they host the Chicago White Sox in this series finale on Sunday.

The Baltimore Orioles go for the series sweep against the Chicago Orioles on Sunday afternoon. This is the first series of the season between these two clubs who are both at the bottom of the AL standings. That might have been expected from the White Sox who had one of the worst records of all time last season but this is not where the Orioles were supposed to be after back-to-back playoff appearances. Chicago has lost four of its last five games while Baltimore will go for its third win in a row tonight after losing its last series against St. Louis. The Orioles subsequently are the -175 favorites to win this series this afternoon.

Both of the first two games of this series have been close with the Orioles taking the opener 2-1 and then they won the series on Saturday with a 4-2 victory. Baltimore got the party started early on Saturday with Jackson Holliday hitting his first lead-off homer of his career in the first inning. Jorge Mateo hit his first homer of the season in the fifth inning to give Baltimore some breathing room after the White Sox cut the lead in half. Dean Kremer had a strong performance on the mound improving to 5-5 after going six innings while only giving up one run on six hits, while striking out seven. Baltimore won despite only getting five hits on the night.

The Orioles will try to shut the door on the White Sox by starting Charlie Morton who has struggled so far on his new team. But Morton did get his first win for the Orioles in his last start giving up two runs against Texas to improve to 1-7 with a 7.09 ERA. Chicago will try to avoid the sweep by starting Adrian Houser who is 1-0 in 12 innings pitched and two starts and has yet to give up a run.
