The Royals won their last series against the Baltimore Orioles, after dropping the opener they came back and won their last two games. Kansas City won the rubber match on Sunday 11-6. The Royals absolutely went off collecting 17 hits and a franchise-record seven homers and Maikel Garcia hit two of those homers. Michael Massey hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning to put the exclamation point on the day. Cole Ragans will start this opener against the White Sox. The lefty has a 1-1 record with a 4.40 ERA.

The White Sox are also coming off a series win over the weekend grabbing two of three games against the Houston Astros. Chicago won the rubber match on Sunday 5-4 in seven innings. The game was shortened due to rain but Luis Robert Jr. made the most of it to help lead the White Sox to victory. Robert Jr tied the game in the sixth inning on an RBI single. Then he stole second and scored what ended up being the winning run when Edgar Quero hit a single. Chicago will try to keep it rolling Shane Smith who is also 1-1 with an impressive 2.23 ERA.
