Sean Burke and the White Sox will face Seth Lugo and the Royals in the second game on Tuesday of a three-game series this week.

It took four other pitchers an inning each to finish out the game. As a whole, the staff allowed just six hits on night and walked only two batters.

Maikel Garcia got the runs started for Kansas City after three scoreless innings. He hit an RBI single that scored Bobby Witt Jr. Witt Jr then had an RBI double in the next inning that scored Kyle Isbel. The last run was scored on an RBI double in the eighth inning that scored Garcia, to win the first game 3-0 at home.

Sean Burke will take the mound for the second game of this series for Chicago. The right-hander is 2-4 in his 2025 campaign with a 4.91 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 33.0 total innings. He had his best outing of the year in his last start against the Milwaukee Brewers. He threw 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing only two hits with five strikeouts in a quality start.

On the other side of the inning, Seth Lugo will get the start for Kansas City on the mound at home. Also a right-hander, Lugo is 3-3 this season with a 3.07 ERA. He has 34 total strikeouts over 44.0 innings. He allowed two earned runs in his last start against the Tampa Bay Rays. He gave up five hits with five strikeouts over 6.0 innings.
