The Diamondbacks also are fresh off of a four-game series where they won three of the four games at home against the Colorado Rockies. They dominated the opener 16-1 with a four-game run differential of 32- 14. Lourdes Gurriel Jr has three home runs, tied for No. 2 in the league, and 10 RBIs, tied for first in the league, to start the season.

New York will start Luis Gil for the first game of this series. The right-hander hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2022, where he pitched just one game against the Chicago White Sox. He spent the entire 2023 season in the minor league’s and on the disabled list before being named to the starting rotation.
Arizona will start right-hander Ryne Nelson after finishing 8-8 in 2023. He had a massive 5.31 ERA which he will be looking to bring down. He did total 96 strikeouts and a 1.42 WHIP as well.
