Tatis Jr. hit a 2-2 pitch 430 feet to center field to give the Padres the win. The win snapped a two-game losing streak and pushed their record to 26-15 on the season. They now sit 0.5 games back of the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the National League West. Wednesday they will turn to Randy Vasquez on the mound. Vasquez comes into Wednesday 2-3 on the season with a 3.76 ERA. The Padres have won his last two starts, as he has given up just three combined runs in 11 innings.

The Angels will send Kyle Hendricks to the mound as they try to steal a road series from the Padres.

Hendricks is in his first season with the Angels and he comes into Wednesday 1-4 with a 5.30 ERA.

He had his best outing two starts ago, as he went 7.2 innings of one-run ball against the Detroit Tigers in a win.

The Angels currently sit at 17-24 on the season and it has them in last place in the American League West. They are four games back of the Texas Rangers for fourth place in the division standings.
