After being swept over the weekend and having lost four in a row on the road, the New York Yankees begin a three-game mid-week series against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday evening in the first meeting of the season between the American League East Division foes at Camden Yards. The Orioles snapped their three-game losing skid with a win on Sunday against the Athletics and have struggled to find offensive consistency of late, losing eight of their last 11 games and failing to score more than four runs in eight of those 11 games. New York will start southpaw Ryan Weathers (2-2, 3.03 ERA) who allowed just one earned run in his last start, a 9-4 win over Baltimore eight days ago.

Despite being held without a hit in his last three games, Yankees first baseman Ben Rice leads the team hitting .306 this season having torched the Orioles for five hits, including a apir of home runs and four RBIs during their three-game set in New York to open the month of May. Rice, now in his third season with the Yankees, is nearly halfway to equalling his career high of 26 home runs set during 2025 and is on pace to shatter his career bests in runs, hits, stolen bases and RBIs this season.

The Orioles will start right-hander Brandon Young (3-1, 4.35 ERA) who began the season at Triple-A Norfolk, made his 2026 debut on April 6, tossing five innings of shutout ball in a win against the White Sox, but was sent back down the following day.
