Jack Wenninger earned his first win of the season on the mound with three innings of work in which he struck out five batters and only gave up three hits. Wyatt Young brought in the only other earned run with an RBI single to score Corey Collins. The third run came home on a throwing error.

The Yankees have found early success in spring training and boast a record of 11-4, however, they will look to bounce back from a tough 3-0 loss to the Nationals on Saturday. The Mets and Yankees have already met once during spring training and the Mets handed the Yankees one of their few losses with a 6-4 victory two weeks ago.
