    The Baltimore Orioles will head on the road this weekend to take on the Kansas City Royals on Friday in the first game of a three-game series at Kauffman Stadium in Missouri. This will be the fourth game between these two teams this season with the Orioles leading the season series 2-1. The Orioles enter this series with a 12-6 record overall sitting as the No. 2 team in the American League East. They are coming off of a series in which they swept the Minnesota Twins. The Royals are coming into the weekend with a 12-7 record in the American League Central as the No. 2 team just one game behind the Cleveland Guardians. They just wrapped up a series against the Chicago White Sox where they won two of three games. Salvador Perez is now up to five home runs and 17 RBIs this season while maintaining a batting average of .324.

    Dean Kremer will get the start for Baltimore on the mound tonight. The right-hander is 0-1 this season with a 4.96 ERA and 14 strikeouts. He lasted just 4.0 innings in his last start against the Milwaukee Brewers at home giving up six earned runs, two home runs, and 10 hits. He struck out just three batters.

    Alec Marsh will get the nod for Kansas City in the first game of this series. The right-hander is 2-0 this season with a 4.32 ERA and 10 strikeouts over 16.2 total innings. He also had a rough start last outing going 5.0 innings against the New York Mets allowing four earned runs with just two strikeouts.
