To kick off a four-game series in Colorado, the Rockies will host the Texas Rangers this afternoon. This is set to be a battle between the reigning champions and the team with the worst record in the MLB. Texas is only five games over .500 at 22-17, but has won seven of its last 10. Despite what could be considered a slow start to the season, the Rangers are the top team in the American League West. The Rockies have yet to win double-digit games this season, going 9-28 thus far which is the worst record in the American League. With that in mind, Colorado enters today’s contest with momentum following a 9-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants.

The Rockies have played a game for four consecutive days following a series against the Giants to kick off the week. Colorado is now set to turn around this afternoon and immediately host the Rangers less than 16 hours after the close of yesterday’s game. 

Following this contest, these two teams will face off on Friday night before wrapping up the series on Saturday and Sunday. From there, the Rockies then open up another series against the San Diego Padres on Monday that will ultimately expand their streak of consecutive days played to nine. Meanwhile, the Rangers will head back home to host the Cleveland Guardians.
