The Texas Rangers aim for a third consecutive series win in the finale against the host Kansas City Royals on Sunday.
After their three-game winning streak was snapped in Saturday’s 15-4 loss, the Kansas City Royals continue their six-game home stand today in a Sunday matinee series finale against the Texas Rangers. The Royals will send southpaw Daniel Lynch IV to the mound for today’s rubber match in his first start of the season after being called up from Triple-A Omaha after making nine starts for Kansas City in 2023. Texas will counter with veteran right hander Jon Gray (1-1, 2.48 ERA) in search of his second win in as many starts. After being shelled in his first outing of the season, Gray has allowed just four earned runs over his last six starts.
