The Texas Rangers begin a long 10-game road trip on Friday night when they visit the Houston Astros. It will be the second time this season the two teams have played as they split a four-game series last weekend. The Rangers won the first two games of that series but lost the last two as they failed to clinch the series. The Rangers followed that up by losing two of three to the lowly Oakland Athletics. Thursday they were shutout in the finale 1-0 to drop to 7-6 on the season and they have now lost four of their last five games. Friday Dane Dunning will take the mound as the Rangers look to snap out of their funk. Dunning comes into Friday 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA.

The Astros will counter with J.P. France as they look to bounce back from get swept in a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals.
France comes into Friday searching for his first win. He is 0-1 with a 4.76 ERA. He has given up three runs in both of his starts. His last outing was against the Rangers and he went five and two-thirds innings, giving up eight hits and three earned runs.
The Astros have struggled to start the year as they are just 4-10 and already have two different losing streaks of at least three games.
