Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels play game two against the New York Mets today. Watch live for free on Fubo.

The Boston Red Sox (6-2) are the hottest team in the majors right now winning five straight games including the first game of this series against the Los Angeles Angels (4-3). They go for a sixth straight win today on the road in game two of this series, which would allow Boston to keep pace with the New York Yankees who are also off to a strong start this season. In the first game of this series Boston got off to a fast start with four runs in the second inning with Tyler O’Neill, Triston Casas and Reese McGuire all going yard. Boston added four more runs, including home runs from Jarren Duran and O’Neil again, to close out the 8-6 win.

Los Angeles fought back with a run in the fifth and four more in the sixth to keep the score close. Logan O’Hoppe was the catalyst with his first homerun of the season, a grand slam, to continue the fireworks.

If both teams come to play like that again today with six total homeruns and 14 combined runs this is going to be another exciting game early in the MLB season.

On the mound for the second game of this series for Boston is right-hander Garrett Whitlock (1-0) who started off the season with a win pitching 5.0 innings giving up just one run and striking out eight. He takes on Los Angeles’ left-hander Reid Detmers (1-0) who had a nearly identical outing as Whitlock did in his first game, with one less strikeout setting up a potential pitching duel after a homerun explosion in the first game of the series.
