On the mound today to close out this three game series for San Francisco is left-hander Kyle Harrison (3-1, 3.20 ERA) making just his 16th career start in the majors. He takes on Cincinnati’s right-handed veteran Frankie Montas (2-3, 3.55 ERA) in his seventh start of the season.

In the first game of this series Cincinnati chipped away scoring one run in the first, third, fourth and eighth innings including an inside-the-park home run from Stuart Fairchild as the final run of the game to give some cushion in the 4-2 win to kick off the series.

Then, in game two San Francisco came out on top in a 5-1 win built on a first inning grand slam from Matt Chapman. That was all the offense that San Francisco needed to even the series and get back in the win column. Now the teams settle the series with a rubber match today to close out the weekend.
