The San Diego Padres look for a sweep of the Seattle Mariners on Sunday in the finale of the first leg of the Eddie Vedder Cup rivalry.

The San Diego Padres (27-18), winners of five of their last seven games, can finish off a road sweep of the Seattle Mariners (22-25) on Sunday evening at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. The Mariners have lost three of their last four and are 1-2 since All-Star catcher Cal Raleigh landed on the injured list on Thursday with an oblique strain. This year marks the second installment of the teams vying for the Eddie Vedder Cup, a moniker which began as a joke in the early 2000s referencing the Pearl Jam front man who spent time living in both cities and became an official trophy — a playable guitar designed by Vedder — in 2025.
