Michael Wacha (6-1, 2.69 ERA) will be on the mound for the Sox aiming for his fourth win in his last six starts. Wacha was 3-0 with a 3.03 ERA in June tossing a three-hit complete-game shutout against the Angels on June 6th. The veteran right-hander, who turned 31 years old on Friday, earned his first win of the season against the Rays back in April despite giving up a pair of home runs in a 4-3 victory.

Jalen Beeks (1-1, 2.70 ERA) will get the start for the Rays who will be making his fifth start of the season and fourth in his last five appearances. Beeks has not pitched more than two innings in any game this season in the Rays “opening pitcher” plan.

Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers has a hit in eleven of his last 12 games and leads the team with a .325 batting average which is third best in baseball.

Shortstop Xander Boegarts left yesterday’s win over the Cubs with a thigh injury and is listed as day-to-day after receiving seven stitches after being spiked by Willson Contreras sliding into second base on a steal attempt.
