After suffering first loss of the season, LAFC returns home to host Austin FC in a Western Conference tilt
After suffering their first loss of the 2025 MLS season, the Los Angeles Football Club takes the pitch inside Banc of California Stadium aiming to remain undefeated at home as they play host to Austin FC in search of a fifth consecutive home result across all competitions against El Tree. Austin notched a season opening home win over Sporting Kansas City back in late February but has been held scoreless in consecutive losses as they aim for their first away win of the season and their first win at LAFC since stealing a 2-1 road win back in May of 2022.

A year after leading LAFC in goals, French forward Denis Bouanga has been held without a goal in his first three matches in MLS play but has three goals in March in The Black and Gold’s CONCACAF Champions Cup fixtures against the Columbus Crew. In his fourth season in Los Angeles, Bouanga has tallied 72 goals across all competitions scoring 20 goals in MLS play each of the last two seasons. A two-time MLS All-Star, Bouanga has added 11 goals for Gabon competing in the 2019 and 2021 Africa Cup of Nations as well as 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Midfielder Osman Bukari has Austin FC’s lone goal through three matches this season equaling his output in eight appearances with the club a year ago. Bukari joined Austin in May of 2024 after spending two seasons with Red Star Belgrade of the Serbian SuperLiga helping advance that squad to the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League where he scored a goal against Manchester City.
LAFC has lost only once in five MLS matches against Austin FC outscoring the visitors 7-1 in their three-game unbeaten streak in the series.
