The Philadelphia Union battle D.C. United on Sunday afternoon looking to win a second straight match. The Union are coming off a big 5-1 win over New York City FC on Wednesday and have won two of their last three matches. The win improved their record to 8-9-12 on the season and has them in a tie for ninth place with their opponents on Sunday. Both teams have 33 points and are three points back of Toronto FC. They are also just one point up on both Atlanta United FC and Nashville FC. The Union are led by Daniel Gazdag who has a team-best 15 goals and Kai Wagner leads the team with 11 assists. The Union are hoping they can play well as they try and beat D.C. United in their second meeting of the season. The two teams met back on May 4th and it ended in a 2-2 draw.

D.C. United led 2-0 in the first meeting, but gave up a goal late in the first half and then another in the 79th minute and had to settle for the draw.
Sunday they will look to finish the job and extend their three-match unbeaten streak. They are coming off a 1-1 draw with New York City FC, but had won their previous two matches.
They beat Chicago Fire FC 2-1 two weeks ago and knocked off Toronto FC 3-1 three weeks ago. It has been a good stretch for United and Sunday they will look to continue their good play and move in front of the Union in the standings.
