America First Field is set to host the exciting mid-week matchup between home side Real Salt Lake and visiting club Minnesota United FC on Tuesday in MLS postseason action. The hosts finished the 2024 MLS regular season campaign as the third-placed club in the Western Conference standings. The team was able to secure a total of 59 points in 34 matches throughout the season, courtesy of an overall record of 16 wins, 11 draws and seven losses. The club from Utah finished below only the two clubs from Los Angeles in the conference table. 2023 MLS Cup runner-up LAFC took the top spot with 64 points and a goal difference of plus-20, while the Galaxy also had 64 points but finished in second with a goal difference of plus-19.

Real Salt Lake finished the regular season on a six-match unbeaten run, where the club came away with three wins and three draws.
One of those draws was a scoreless finished against none other than Minnesota United FC on Oct. 2 at America First Field.
Meanwhile, United finished the regular season in sixth place in the West with 52 points in 34 matches. The club also wrapped up with an overall record of 15 wins, seven draws and 12 losses.
Minnesota heads into the postseason coming off of a 4-1 victory over St. Louis on Decision Day. Robin Lod, Jeong Sang-bin and Henry Kessler (own goal) all got on the scoresheet to five United some momentum heading into the postseason.
