His brother Alex is in second place, followed by Francesco Bagnaia in third place. Bagnaia enters the Motul TT Assen in the Netherlands with an edge over the rest of the drivers in the field. He has won this race in each of the last three seasons and looks for a fourth straight win.

Bagnaia won this race for the first time in 2022, following that up with wins in 2023 and 2024. Since this race began in 1990, only Mick Doohan has won this race three or more times, with five straight wins between 1994-1998.

Marc Marquez has two wins in this race over the years as well. He won back in 2014 for the first time and again in 2018 for his most recent victory. Last year, Marc finished 10th overall. His brother, Alex, has yet to win this race and finished in seventh place in last year’s race.

Heading into this race, Fabio Quartararo edged the field with the fastest practice time. Alex finished just behind him in second place. Bagnaia had the fifth-best time and Marc Marquez the sixth-best time.
