The Red Sox can get their season-high third straight win on Wednesday in an afternoon start against the Bulls, who are on the road for the second straight week after splitting six games with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs last week. Durham’s roster features the No. 4 prospect on the MLB Pipeline Top 100 in infielder Junior Caminero, who is slashing .318/.400/.636 with two homers and seven RBIs and just back from a stint on the seven-day injured list. Nathan Hickey, the No. 16 prospect in the Boston Red Sox organization, is hitting .239/.327/.457 with three home runs and six RBIs in 13 games.

Dalton Guthrie’s first home run of the season, a three-run shot, put Worcester up 4-1 in the second inning and it hung on for a 7-4 win on Tuesday. Rob Refsnyder and Chase Meidroth added solo shots while right-hander Naoyuki Uwasawa gave up four runs in five innings but earned the victory. Right-hander Zack Kelly struck out five in two shutout innings to pick up his first save.
The Bulls, the top farm club of the Tampa Bay Rays, got a three-run homer from Alex Jackson, his sixth of the year, to close to within 5-4 in the top of the fifth, but got no closer. Left-hander Mason Montgomery fell to 0-4, allowing five runs on seven hits in four innings while fanning five. His ERA sits at 10.93 in 14 innings.
Right-hander Richard Fitts (0-0), Boston’s 10th-ranked prospect, takes the ball for the Red Sox on Wednesday. In two starts, Fitts has a 2.89 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 9.1 innings. Durham had not named a starter.
