The last time the Cup Series ran the Brickyard 400, Kevin Harvick drove to victory lane, leading 68 laps. The top three finishers in that race—Harvick, Matt Kenseth and Aric Almirola—no longer race full time in the Cup Series and won’t be in this field. Neither will fifth-place finisher Cole Custer, who runs in the Xfinity Series now.
Coming into this race, Chase Elliott leads teammate Kyle Larson by three points in the race for the Cup Series regular season title.
