Austin Hill leads the NASCAR Xfinity Series into the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 after his third win of the season.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series rolls into Texas Motor Speedway for the first and only time this season for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 in Fort Worth. This is the 21st edition of this race that started with Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch winning seven of the first 10 races. In recent years John Hunter Nemechek has won this race in two of the last four years. Around those three winning nine of the first 20 races on this track are 11 others winning one race a piece. Texas Motor Speedway has brought out the parity in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Sam Mayer won for the first time last year with Ryan Sieg, Justin Allgaier, AJ Allmendinger and Cole Custer rounding out the rest of the top five.

In last year’s race Mayer led just five laps on his way to grabbing the checkered flag. Allgaier was dominant throughout the race leading for 117 laps. Allgaier looks to pick up where he left off last season and win this race for the first time in his career.

Heading into this weekend Allgaier leads the NASCAR Xfinity Series with 449 points. He is 79 points ahead of the field. This season Allgaier has two wins and six finishes in the top five already through 11 races. 

Austin Hill (370 points), Mayer (347 points), Jesse Love (340 points) and rookie Carson Kvapil (306 points) round out the rest of the top five in the standings. Hill has a series leading three wins, but four finishes outside of the top 15 have allowed Allgaier to build his lead.
