The Rockets will look to ignite their Summer League series against the Raptors in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Houston is hoping to continue its off-season development under the watch of Summer League coach Will Dunn when it comes up against Toronto in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The weekend showdown will pit two teams against one another who are each on the comeback trail after suffering first-round disappointment in last season’s playoffs and aiming to come back stronger in 2026/27. The Raptors return to the Summer League under the management of assistant Ivo Simovic, who has a talented crop of stars led by second-year prospect Collin Murray-Boyles.

Toronto hasn’t yet been revolutionary in its off-season makeover but has a number of new faces to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.

Allen Graves and Jaden Bradley have grabbed headlines as the team’s main draft picks, though Nate Bittle is another with a high ceiling after his signing was announced on Friday.

The former Oregon center finally completed his deal to join the Raptors and could be in the mix to get minutes this weekend in a move that could improve Toronto’s distribution if he hits his potential:

Bittle, 23, set new personal bests in just about every meaningful metric during his senior season as a Duck, including a 14.2 points-per-game average along with 7.6 rebounds per game.

The Oregon native also ratcheted his average assists per game up to 1.9 during that final college campaign, which was more than double his previous best in any of his three previous seasons.

Houston has been even less active in its college recruitment, with Bruce Thornton the only pick who has stuck with the team post-trades.

There’s scope for the 22-year-old to get significant minutes as a back-up option at point guard this coming year having averaged 19.9 points per game in his last year at Ohio State, where he became the program’s all-time leading scorer.
