LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers host Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks for the final time this season.

The last time the Atlanta Hawks (18-16) and Los Angeles Lakers (18-14) stepped on the court together it was a classic. Regulation was not enough time for these teams to determine a winner. Atlanta ultimately came away with the 135-132 overtime win fueled by the second 20-plus assist game from Trae Young this season. Young finished the game with 31 points and 20 assists taking over in extra time with seven points and three assists to close out the win. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were special in the loss combining for 78 points, 20 rebounds and 19 assists. The stars shined in Atlanta the first time these teams played as the scene shifts to the City of Angels for the final game of the season series between Atlanta and Los Angeles.

Young was dishing out assists to virtually every player on the roster in the win with seven Atlanta players scoring in double figures. Jalen Johnson flirted with a triple-double finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on 4-8 shooting. Dyson Daniels and rookie Zaccharie Risacher both finished with 11 points each in the starting lineup.

Atlanta’s bench made a huge difference in the win with De’Andre Hunter (26 points), Bogdan Bogdanovic (20 points) and Onyeka Okongwu (15 points) all scoring in double-figures.

Los Angeles needed every point from James and Davis with the bench only contributing 17 total points. The other three starters, rookie Dalton Knecht (14 points), Rui Hachimura (12 points) and Gabe Vincent (12 points), combined for 38 total points. That equaled Davis’ total and was one less than James in the loss.
