In the first game between the teams Domantas Sabonis led a trio of 20-point scorers for an upset win on the road. Sabonis finished with 23 points and a career-high 28 rebounds in the 114-97 win. That game took place before the De’Aaron Fox trade, who was not in the lineup, and without Zach LaVine.
Since that loss Boston has gone 25-8 overall and is starting to look like the best team in the conference again. Kristaps Porzingis has been a major part of Boston’s switch flip of the last two months. This season Boston is 23-12 with Porzingis in the lineup, winning seven of the last eight games.
Porzingis is averaging 20.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game on 53.6 percent, shooting over his last eight games. The sharp-shooting big man has registered a double-double in his last two games, both wins for Boston who is 5-1 when Porzingis has a double-double this season.
