The Milwaukee Bucks try to bounce back from their first loss in awhile but they run into the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
Both the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks have won four of their last five games going into this primetime Friday night matchup. The Bucks are starting to look more like themselves getting a game over .500 after a slow start to the season. They’ll still have a ways to go to catch up to the Cleveland Cavaliers who lead the Central division by 7.5 games over Milwaukee. Boston is right behind Cleveland in the Eastern Conference and will be the distinct favorite at home here tonight. The party was halted in their last game when the Bucks lost to the Atlanta Hawks 119-104 to end a seven-game winning streak. The win for Atlanta extended its streak to five games in a row. Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds, the game really wasn’t even close after midway through the second quarter. Damian Lillard backed Antetokounmpo up with 25 points. Milwaukee started off great getting up by 10 points but its shooting fell off the rest of the way. The key difference was bench play with Atlanta outscoring Milwaukee 50-31. The Bucks are still in good shape after previously winning nine of their last 10 games.

Boston is trying to win its third game in a row after beating the Detroit Pistons 130-120 on Wednesday. Jaylen Brown scored 28 points with nine assists and Kristaps Porzingis was right behind him with 26 points and nine rebounds. The Celtics got off to a very hot start getting up to a 18-4 lead less than four minutes into the game.
Boston got up to a huge lead but Detroit hit four threes and cut the lead all the way down to five but Boston was able to prevail getting Brown back in the game. Milwaukee is going to be an even tougher opponent tonight so Boston can’t get too complacent.
