The Milwaukee Bucks play on back-to-back nights when they travel to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.

Both the Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks are both looking to get back on track in this Monday night game. The Bucks have lost two of their last three games, and are coming off a 122-115 loss at the hands of the Houston Rockets on Sunday. It won’t help Milwaukee’s case that it will be playing on back-to-back nights, while play on the road tonight. The Mavericks meanwhile are coming off a 111-105 win against the Washington Wizards, but that ended a four-game losing streak. Also, Washington has only won one game in its first 10 games of the season. Dallas has started the season slow with a 3-7 record, and the Mavericks are 2-4 at home. It doesn’t help that Anthony Davis is listed as questionable against Milwaukee. If Davis misses tonight’s contest, it will be his sixth game as he still recovers from a strained left calf. Either way, Milwaukee should be the slight favorite even on the road tonight.

Milwaukee is coming off a tough loss against the Rockets, considering it led much of the way on Sunday. The Bucks were up eight with less than five minutes left in the game with a more than 91 percent chance to win. But Kevin Durant took over the game in the final minutes. The future Hall of Famer scored 31 points and hit a tie breaking shot with less than two minutes left. Milwaukee lost despite shooting 55.7 percent from the field and 44.8 percent from three. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a great game as usual leading all scorers with 37 points. Unfortunately, he struggled from the foul line in the final moments going only 1 for 4. The team shot 14 of 24 from the line, which was a huge factor in swinging the game.

The Mavs pulled away from the Wizards in the fourth quarter, outscoring Washington by 10. Naji Marshall stepped up big with a season-high 30 points to lead all scorers. P.J. Washington Jr. had 15 points and was critical down the stretch, to help Dallas win its first game on the road of the season. It was a nice bounce back for Dallas, as Washington’s only win this season came against the Mavericks in Dallas in the second game of the season. This game will be much tougher against the Bucks even though it will be at home.
