The Atlanta Hawks play on back-to-back nights and are coming off a tough close loss when they host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

The Chicago Bulls try to avoid losing five games in a row when they travel to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Chicago fell three games below .500 after losing big to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. The final was 135-119 in the Timberwolves favor. Anthony Edwards was once again the star of the game with 33 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Reflexively, Nikola Vucevic was the leading scorer for the Bulls with 25 points. If you just looked at the final score you might have assumed that the Timberwolves completely dominated the game. But actually the Bulls led most of the way and led as late as seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. Minnesota rallied from a 13-point deficit with a 12-0 run in the fourth to change the trajectory of the game. Chicago was on fire from three in the first half going 10 for 17, but they slowed considerably in the second where they went just 5 for 19. If they can keep their first-half consistency, the Bulls should be able to end this losing streak.

Atlanta is the slight -2.5-point favorite at home tonight but the Hawks are coming off a tough one-point loss to the Detroit Pistons on Friday. Trae Young led the game scoring 35 points but it wasn’t enough to overcome the performance of Cade Cunningham. The Piston’s workhorse finished with his third consecutive triple-double leading Detroit with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. But the true dagger for the Hawks came with just 8.5 seconds left in the game when Cunningham hit the game-winner. Both teams will have chips on their shoulders tonight to get back in the win column.
