After a wild ending in their last game, the Cleveland Cavaliers try to rebound when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers on the road on Friday night.

This game against the Cleveland Cavaliers is not what the doctor ordered for the Philadelphia 76ers. It is quite the opposite actually with the Sixers in the midst of a seven-game losing streak. This is the final game the Cavaliers and 76ers will play this year and Cleveland is looking for the 3-0 season series sweep. Philadelphia got off to a very slow start dealing with plenty of injuries but even at its lowest to begin the season the Sixers didn’t lose six in a row. It doesn’t help that the Cavaliers have the best record in the sport. Cleveland is the -9.5-point favorite even on the road tonight. At least Philadelphia will be heading home after a three-game road trip.

The 76ers are coming off a big 144-109 loss to the Denver Nuggets that was supposed to put the last four NBA MVPs against one another in Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. But the Sixers superstar was sidelined with a knee injury and Philly still lost despite getting Paul George, Andre Drummond and Guerschon Yabusele all returning to the lineup with limited success. It was all Tyrese Maxey for the Sixers leading the team with 28 points. Philadelphia made it close at moments including cutting Denver’s lead to eight early in third but then the Nuggets went on a 24-12 run. They’ll need a full healthy lineup to pull off this upset against Cleveland.

As much as Cleveland has been brilliant this season, it is coming off a 109-108 loss against the Houston Rockets that slipped away. Darius Garland led the team with 26 points but it was the two points he didn’t make that was the story of the game. Alperen Sengun made two clutch free throws with 4.5 seconds left to put the Rockets ahead by two. Cleveland moved the ball and got Garland to the free-throw line after being fouled behind the three-point line to potentially win the game. Garland missed the first two shots but made the third. The Cavaliers still had a chance to win the game at the buzzer but Donovan Mitchell missed the final shot from three. The Cavaliers should have no problem bouncing back tonight.
