The Miami Heat try to stay undefeated on the season at home when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Miami to take on the Heat, with the visitors going for their fifth win in a row on Monday. The Heat will be going for their third win in a row tonight, and their fourth in their last five games. What is more than that, Miami is still undefeated at home with a 4-0 record. Cleveland is 3-2 on the road so far. Both of these teams who of course prominently featured LeBron James, are towards the top of their respective divisions to start the young season. Cleveland only has one more win than Miami. This will be one of the most difficult tests for Miami at home this season, especially with Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Terry Rozier out of the lineup. The Cavs should be the favorites even on the road tonight.

Cleveland is coming off a nice comeback win against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, in a 128-122 final. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs like usual with 28 points. Mitchell hit the go-ahead shot with just over 30 seconds left in regulation. That was part of a run where he scored eight points in a row, to help lead a 12-0 run to close out the game. The second half was a completely different game for the Cleveland star. Mitchell only scored three points in the first half, with the Cavaliers getting down as much as 19 points. Mitchell got some help with De’Andre Hunter also scoring 29 for a season-high, while Evan Mobley sinking 24 points. If the Cavaliers are able to get off to a quicker start tonight, they should be able to keep this winning streak alive.

The Heat are also coming off a close win on Saturday, this time at home against the Portland Trail Blazers by a 136-131 final. Nikola Jovic was instrumental in the win, leading the team with a career-high 29 points off the bench. Jovic also added nine rebounds and seven assists, while the team as a whole shot at 51 percent from the field. Andrew Wiggins hit a three pointer with about a minute and a half left in the game as part of his night where he scored 14 while adding 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Miami never trailed again in the back-and-forth game.
