The Celtics look to avoid a three-game hole when they take on the Knicks in Game 3 on Saturday afternoon

The Boston Celtics take on the New York Knicks on Saturday afternoon in Game 3 of their second round series. The Celtics lost both games at home to start the series and are needing a win on Saturday. They have dominated most of the first two games, but blew 20-point leads in both to go down 2-0. Long distance shooting has been a problem for the Celtics as they 15-60 from three in the first game and then went 10-40 in the second game. They didn’t lose to the Knicks in the regular season, but they haven’t been able to close them out in the playoffs. They will now be forced to win at least two games in New York if they want to continue their quest for a second straight NBA Championship. Jayson Tatum was held to just 13 points in the Game 2 loss and the Celtics are going to need him to play better if they want to get a win at New York.

The Knicks, though, will be looking to continue to hold Tatum and the Celtics down as they try to go up three games.

Jalen Brunson has been great for the Knicks in the playoffs as he scored 40 in their series-clinching win over the Detroit Pistons and then scored 29 in the Game 1 win.

The Knicks struggled to stop the Celtics during the regular season, but they held them to just 90 points in the win in Game 2.

The Knicks will also host Game 4 on Monday night and they are hoping they can close out the Celtics before they head back to Boston.
