LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets take on Cam Johnson and the Brooklyn Nets in NBA action.
The Brooklyn Nets (18-34) have struggled against most teams this season, but have played some of their best basketball against the Charlotte Hornets (13-37). They have won each of the first two meetings against Charlotte and have the opportunity to win the season-series here with another win. In the most recent game Brooklyn dominated Charlotte 104-83 on the road. Keon Johnson led six players in double-figures with 18 points as Brooklyn took advantage of a shorthanded Charlotte roster. Brandon Miller still remains out and LaMelo Ball (ankle) is listed as day-to-day. Brooklyn is currently just 3.5 games out of the play-in tournament and can continue chipping away at that here.

Johnson is having a career-season so far for Brooklyn averaging 10.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He has already set career-highs in games played (50) and starts (30) for a Brooklyn team that is rebuilding around youth after failing with superstars.
In the January win Jalen Wilson (15 points), Tosan Evbuomwan (14 points off the bench), Ziaire Williams (13 points), Nic Claxton (12 points) and Ben Simmons (10 points off the bench). Since that game Simmons was bought out and is no longer with Brooklyn.
For Charlotte, the team was led by Miles Bridges with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Over his last six games Bridges is averaging 23.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. That included Bridges first career triple-double where he finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a loss to the Washington Wizards.
