Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler lead the Golden State Warriors at home against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Golden State Warriors (30-27) have found some magic since trading for Jimmy Butler. In six games with Butler in the lineup Golden State has a 5-1 record and are playing as well as any team in the NBA. During this six game run Golden State has won five games by an average of 18.0 points per game with just one loss by four points to the Dallas Mavericks. They go for a fourth straight win in a row against the Charlotte Hornets (14-42). This is the first game of the season between the teams. Last season Golden State swept the season series winning both games by double-figures and have won three straight against Charlotte. Butler has sparked Golden State on both ends of the floor and brought out the best in Stephon Curry.

Curry has been on fire since Golden State traded for Butler. He is averaging 29.0 points and 5.7 assists per game on 49-40-86 shooting splits. Curry has scored 30 or more points in three of the six games playing at a new level to start the second half of the season.

Butler for his part is averaging 20.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game with Golden State. He is getting to the free-throw line 9.2 times per game, which would be a career-high for Butler if this holds up through the rest of the season.

For Charlotte it has lost three straight games by double-figures. Over the last two games Charlotte has lost by a combined 95 total points including a franchise worst 53-point loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
