Oklahoma City is just unstoppable right now winning 12 in a row. The only loss the Thunder have had in this run is against Milwaukee in the NBA Cup Final and that doesn’t count for the regular season record. The Thunder most recently beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on New Year’s Eve 113-105. Gilgeous-Alexander went off again scoring 40 points on Tuesday. The Thunder started to look alive and rallied to get the win when the Timberwolves squandered a 12-point lead in the third quarter. A big factor with that comeback were the 24 forced turnovers by the Thunder and 16 of those were steals, most of which came in the second half.

The Clippers had their three-game winning streak snapped falling on New Year’s Eve 122-86 to the San Antonio Spurs. The rout came after Victor Wembenyama led the game with 27 points and James Harden led the Clippers with just 17 points. A big factor for the loss was the Clippers inefficiency behind the arc especially for how many shots they took from three. LA shot just 34.5 from the field and 11 for 41 on three-pointers. Saying they need to shoot better would be an understatement for the Clippers if they are going to pull off this upset on the road tonight.
