Can the Chicago Bulls get their fifth consecutive win tonight in a matchup with the Dallas Mavericks?

In a Saturday night showdown, the Chicago Bulls will host the Dallas Mavericks at United Center. Both of these teams are fighting for postseason positioning, so it’s a very consequential game. 

The Bulls have won four games in a row entering today and eight of their last 10. It’s been an impressive past few weeks for them, but at 33-40, they’re still No. 10 in the Eastern Conference standings. Interestingly enough, Chicago has not been good at home this season, going 14-22 at United Center. 

At 36-38, the Mavericks continue to inch back toward .500 on the season but still have work to do. They’re No. 10 in the Western Conference at this point, but have looked better of late. It’s worth noting Dallas is 16-22 on the road and struggles when not at home.

The Bulls are on a hot streak and coming off a game in which Josh Giddey hit a buzzer-beater to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ll look to carry that momentum into this game, but the Mavericks are very motivated to prove they’re still competitive despite all of the injuries they’ve faced. This is a game that could go either way, especially given both teams really need a victory as we enter the final few games of the season.

Following this contest, the Mavericks will head back home to host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night in a game that Dallas will have a great chance to win. Meanwhile, the Bulls will hit the road and head to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder as Josh Giddey returns to play his former team.
