As the Raptors host the Mavs north of the border in Toronto, two-way talent will be on full display. The 2024-25 campaign got off to a slow start for Dallas, but the Mavericks have been hot of late. Even with a slew of players missing time due to injury and illness, this is a team that has shown its depth and has taken care of business over the past few weeks. The Raptors are several games below .500 at this point and have struggled tremendously on the road. Luckily for them, tonight’s game is taking place in Toronto, but overall, the struggles this season have largely been a function of the 1-11 record away from home.

As Dallas continues to get healthy, this team could emerge in the Western Conference standings and perhaps overtake the top spot in the coming weeks. Toronto still has plenty of time to turn things around and make a push for the NBA Play-In Tournament, but that needs to start happening fairly quickly. With Scottie Barnes at the helm, the Raptors have the upside to get better as the season goes on.
Following this contest, the Mavs will head to Oklahoma City for an NBA Cup Quarterfinal game against the Thunder on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Raptors will host the New York Knicks on Monday evening for their next contest.
