The Heat trailed 62-54, heading into the half but came out with a mission and outscored the Celtics 39-14 in the third quarter to take control of the game.

They held off a rally by the Celtics in the fourth quarter to come away with a 118-107 win.

Jimmy Butler was great for the Heat, scoring a game-high 41 points with nine rebounds and five assists. He scored 27 in the second half to lead the comeback win.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 29 points and Jaylen Brown added 24. Payton Pritchard was also great off the bench, scoring 18, but it wasn’t enough to win.

The Celtics dominated most of the other three quarters but shot just 2-14 from the field in the deciding third.

They will look to avoid that same fate on Thursday as they try and earn a split on the road before heading back to Boston for games three and four.
