Curry was magic in Golden State’s win and nearly as good in the loss, totaling 63 points, 19 assists and 11 rebounds on 12-of-25 shooting from three. His former Splash Brother teammate Thompson has gone for 51 points on 13-of-23 shooting from three in the first two games.

This third matchup will give one of the teams the advantage for potential tiebreakers and playoff positioning down the stretch. Dallas is currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoffs while Golden State is in 10th place.

Golden State is starting to put it together with Butler on the team, taking some pressure off of Curry on the offensive end. In two games with Butler in the lineup Curry has been vintage, averaging 36.0 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds on 14-of-32 shooting from three.

Butler is averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game with Golden State through two games. Dallas has replaced Luka Doncic with Anthony Davis, who is out for at least a month with a groin injury, and Max Christie who has played well off the bench in four games.
