    The NBA season is just one week away as teams wrap-up preseason play this week. The Golden State Warriors finish preseason with two games against the Los Angeles Lakers, starting today on the road. Los Angeles has three games left on the calendar with the Phoenix Suns sandwiched between these two games against Golden State. Everytime Golden State and Los Angeles take the court it is another chapter in one of the most contested rivalries over the last 10 seasons in the NBA. Stephen Curry has led Golden State to four NBA Championships and six overall appearances in the NBA Finals while James has led two different teams to two titles and five appearances in the NBA Finals since the 2014-2015 season.

    Through three games in the preseason Curry has struggled from the field and deep, averaging just 9.3 points per game on 39-28-100 shooting splits. Curry is coming off his first Olympic Games where he made some of the most iconic shots of his career leading the team in scoring with 14.8 points per game, fueled by 50 combined points in the semifinals and Gold Medal Game.B

    For James, he is averaging 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 16.1 minutes per game. He also had a great run in the Olympics pacing Team USA with 14.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 6.8 rebounds per game. Fellow Olympian Anthony Davis is also gearing up for the regular season averaging 14.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in 21.2 minutes per game in two games.

    Los Angeles has two high profile rookies playing their first NBA action in the preseason in Dalton Knecht and Bronny James. In three games Knecht is averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
