    The pressure is off both the Memphis Grizzlies (24-50) and the Detroit Pistons (13-61) on Monday as they build towards the NBA Draft Lottery and next season. Memphis heads into this game on a three-game losing streak despite getting Desmond Bane back in the fold. He has played in five of the last seven games with Memphis, losing each game. Bane is averaging 18.6 points and 6.8 assists per game in his five games back with the team shooting 35 percent from three. He is listed as out for Monday’s game with a back injury. That has been the season all year for Memphis with key players out for chunks of the season, opening opportunities for GG Jackson and others.

    This season Jackson has shown the ability to contribute with opportunities scoring in double-figures in 10 straight games. Since mid-January when Jackson started earning minutes the rookie is averaging 15.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on 36.8 percent shooting from three.

    On the other side for Detroit the team has gone 11-32 since the historic 28-game losing streak tanked the season. The young, exciting core of Detroit has the team excited for the future led by Cade Cunningham.

    Cunningham has led the way for Detroit, averaging 22.4 points, 7.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He has a slew of terrific young athletes around him in double-double machine Jalen Duren (13.9 points and 12.0 rebounds per game), rookie Ausar Thompson (8.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game) and Jaden Ivey (15.2 points per game) who have shown flashes all season as being a great core.
