Bam Adebayo led the South Florida team with a game-high 30 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists on the night. Adebayo also scored a buzzer-beating, mid-range, game-winner to avoid going into overtime when the game was tied at 103. First-time NBA All-Star Tyler Herro had a slow night with just 11 points, four rebounds and eight assists in 36 minutes of action, while Terry Rozier had 19 points and seven boards in 33 minutes off the bench.

Before that, the Heat lost by 20 points to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday at the Kaseya Center.

Herro and Rozier both had 22 points in the loss at home, while Adebayo added 21 points and nine rebounds.

The defeat against Cleveland snapped a two-game winning streak for Miami which saw the team get past the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and Orland Magic on Jan. 25 and 27 respectively.

Herro led the team in both victories, putting up 25 points and eight assists against the Nets and 30 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists against the Magic.
