The Miami Heat are playing some of their best ball of the season when they travel to take on the Toronto Raptors on Sunday afternoon. Miami is going for its third win in a row and the Heat have won four of their last five. Miami got back over .500 in its last game which just so happened to also be against Toronto in NBA Cup – Group Play. That game was back in Miami on Friday as the first round of this home-and-home series with the Heat bringing home the 121-111 win. Now the Heat are just three games back of the Southeast division lead behind the Orlando Magic.

The game really came down to turnovers as both shot from nearly similar percentages from the field. But Toronto had nine more turnovers that didn’t do the club any favors. Another big difference was the amount of three-pointers Miami put up. The Heat went 21 of 54 from three which is the third most attempts in franchise history. Bam Adebayo had a great game securing a triple-double with 14 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Jimmy Butler led the game with 26 points and Tyler Herro was right behind him with 23 points. Butler has turned a corner since returning from a four-game absence with a sprained ankle. The Heat star is shooting 61 percent in his last five games. Miami should still be favored in this second matchup.

Toronto played well in the game especially when the Raptors went on a 12-0 run to go up two but the Heat responded very quickly after going on a 19-2 run of their own to finish out the third quarter. Miami never trailed again. Despite the loss, Toronto had some standout performances of its own R.J. Barrett leading the team with 25 but it was Scottie Barnes who had a triple-double with 24 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. This team has a much better shot, especially at home, to win tonight than their 5-15 record would indicate.
