The Washington Wizards look to avoid a three-game losing streak when they host the Miami Heat on Monday.

The Miami Heat go for the 3-0 season series win on Monday night when they visit the Washington Wizards. These two will play their final game of the season in just a couple of weeks. After trading Jimmy Butler, Miami struggled tremendously at one point losing 10 games in a row. But the Heat have bounced back lately winning four straight. If Miami keeps up this trend, it seems locked in to at least the 10th seed in the East which is still good enough to make a play-in game for the playoffs. Miami is the clear favorite tonight even on the road with a -7.5 line in its favor. Washington has lost four of its last five games and is trying to avoid losing three straight.

Miami is coming off a big 118-95 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. The Heat won in a blowout despite the 76ers shooting 50 percent from the field. Tyler Herro led the game with 30 points. Miami now leads the season series 3-0 over the Sixers. Coach Erik Spoelstra expects this team to get healthier soon with the return of Andrew Wiggins and Duncan Robinson who did not play in this game against Philly. If Miami can get healthy, they have a real shot at competing with Chicago and Orlando for the eighth and ninth spots in the East. Miami already has the same record as the Bulls.

The Wizards are going to play on back-to-back nights after coming off a narrow 115-112 loss against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. It was a huge turnaround after a 160-109 loss against the Indiana Pacers in their previous game where the Wizards gave up the most points ever in franchise history. Drew Timme hit the go-ahead shot on a layup with just 7.7 seconds left in regulation. Colby Jones of the Wizards then turned over the ball by letting it go out of bounds and Brooklyn connected on two free throws to ice the game. The win ended a six-game losing streak for Brooklyn. Colby Jones scored a game-high 20 points for Washington.
