The Indiana Pacers, who clinched a playoff berth on Tuesday, host the Charlotte Hornets at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday.

The Indiana Pacers (44-31) secured their second consecutive playoff appearance with a little help from the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night and look for their eighth win in their last 10 games on Wednesday when they host the Charlotte Hornets (19-56) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Pacers were the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference last season before making a run to the conference finals after knocking off the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks. Charlotte comes in with the third-worst record in the NBA, with a two-game cushion over the New Orleans Pelicans for one of the top three spots in the draft lottery.

Indiana rallied from 16 down in the second half to beat the visiting Sacramento Kings 111-109 on Monday night after Tyrese Haliburton hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 1:17 left. Aaron Nesmith scored 24 points, Obi Toppin had 19 and Haliburton finished with 18 points and 11 assists, scoring 11 in the final quarter. Bennedict Mathurin (calf) and Myles Turner (illness) did not play in the win and both are questionable for Wednesday.

Miles Bridges scored 26 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists on Monday as the Hornets snapped a five-game losing streak with a 110-106 homecourt win over the NBA-worst Utah Jazz. Mark Williams added 18 points and 13 rebounds and Tidjane Salaun scored 12 to power the bench to a 35-point night.

Charlotte point guard LaMelo Ball is out for the season after ankle and wrist surgery and Brandon Miller has been out since January, leaving Bridges as the team’s top scorer at 20.6 points per game and he’s also getting 4.0 assists a night. Williams averages 15.4 points and 10.2 boards. Pascal Siakam leads the Pacers at 20.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, while Haliburton averages 18.6 points and 9.1 assists.
