This season for the Cleveland Cavaliers (64-17) has been historic. They started the season with a 15 game winning streak and used that to vault to the top of the Eastern Conference for the first time since the 2015-2016 season. Cleveland closes out the regular season against a potential playoff opponent in the Indiana Pacers (49-32) who are currently the four-seed. Indiana has won two of the three regular season games against Cleveland including the most recent matchup earlier this week. In that game Indiana survived a 114-112 intense battle to lock up the four-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. If Cleveland and Indiana advance in the first round they would play again in the conference semifinals.

Tyrese Haliburton led the charge for Indiana in the win with 23 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds on 4-11 shooting from three. This season Indiana is 14-1 when Haliburton finishes with at least 20 points and a double-double.

Seven Indiana players finished in double-figures scoring in the win including Aaron Nesmith (22 points) and 38 points combined off the bench from Jarace Walker (15 points), Bennedict Mathurin (13 points) and Obi Toppin (10 points).

Cleveland was without Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Darius Garland in the loss. With the top-seed in the conference locked up they did not need to play their full roster. Ty Jerome (24 points) and De’Andre Hunter (23 points) got the start together for the first time since they were teammates on the Virginia Cavaliers 2019 National Championship team.
