The Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers are both trying to avoid extending losing streaks tonight when they tip off in the series finale on Sunday.

It is tough to be a Philadelphia 76ers fan right now, and they made that quite clear booing their own team at WWE Smackdown on Friday. No one expected the 76ers to be 20 games under .500 at any point this season and in 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings, especially with the addition of Paul George. With injuries taking their toll and Joel Embiid expected to be shut down the rest of the season, the 76ers are playing for pride now. They have a good opportunity to win at home hosting the Utah Jazz on Sunday night. The 76ers look to sweep this two-game season series in the finale tonight. Philly beat Utah in Salt Lake City back at the end of December by three points. The Sixers will try to end a three-game losing streak tonight and have lost 12 of their last 13 games. Utah meanwhile will try to avoid losing five straight tonight. Both franchises are going through it right now.

In what many anticipated to be the biggest battle in the East before the season started, the Sixers are coming off another loss against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics won 123-105 in the series finale on Thursday to beat Philly 3-1 on the season. Jayson Tatum scored 35 points to lead the Celtics while Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 27 to lead the 76ers. Oubre Jr. just didn’t have enough support with mostly reserves in a game that was never really close from the get-go.

Utah meanwhile is trying to end an 11-game road slide tonight after coming off a 118-109 loss in Toronto against the Raptors on Friday. Immanuel Quickly scored a season-high 34 points to lead the Raptors while Walker Kessler led the way for Utah with 18 points. It should be noted that Kessler had an incredible night on the glass with a career-high 25 rebounds and also added eight blocks. They’ll need another great defensive performance like that to pull of this road upset and end this slide.
