The Jazz come into this one having lost five games in a row. Last time out they fell 129-93 to the Denver Nuggets in the first game of what will be a five game road trip. Collin Sexton scored 20 points for the Jazz in the loss, and is now averaging 18.2 points per game on the season.

The Hornets have lost five games in a row, including two games on the road over the weekend. Monday’s game will be a back-to-back for them after they lost 98-94 to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Jusuf Nurkic had a double-double for the Hornets in the loss with 13 points and 12 rebounds. He also had three blocks.

This will be the second meeting between the Jazz and Hornets this year. The first game was back in mid-January in Salt Lake City. After trailing through three quarters the Hornets outscored the Jazz 37-25 in the fourth quarter to win 117-112. Mark Williams led the team with 31 points and 13 rebounds in that one.

LaMelo Ball also had 27 points in that game. The Hornets won’t have Ball in this game – he was recently ruled out for the season after undergoing procedures on his ankle and on his wrist.
