The Kings had a good start in Vegas in their first game on Thursday, beating the Orlando Magic in a close 84-81 matchup. Tristan de Silva of the Magic led the game with 19 points, but Sacramento shooting guard Mason Jones wasn’t far behind with 17 points. Jones went undrafted in 2020 out of Arkansas and most recently played on a two-way contract with the Stockton Kings. He’s had great success in Stockton earning the NBA G League Finals MVP when the Kings won the NBA G League Championship in 2025.

The Bulls didn’t have the same kind of Vegas luck in their opener, losing big to the Toronto Raptors on Friday by a 116-72 final. Chicago was up by three in the first quarter, but it was all downhill from there. The Bulls were outscored 27-9 in the second quarter to set the tone for the rest of the game. Javon Freeman-Liberty led Chicago with 21 points against his former team, which was just one off from Toronto’s top scorer A.J. Lawson. Freeman-Liberty has played for the G-League Windy City Bulls for the last two seasons.
