The New York Knicks (4-4) got back to the .500 mark with a blowout win at home on Friday night and on Sunday head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for their second meeting of the season with the Indiana Pacers (4-5), who were blasted on the road on Friday. The banged-up Pacers are without center James Wiseman and big man Isaiah Jackson, both out with torn Achilles’ tendons. Guard Aaron Nesmith (sprained left ankle) and T.J. McConnell (illness) didn’t play on Friday. New York remains without big man Precious Achiuwa and point guard Cameron Payne, both sidelined with left hamstring strains, and center Mitchell Robinson is still rehabilitating from surgery on his left ankle.

Karl-Anthony Towns went for 32 points and 11 rebounds as the Knicks blasted the Milwaukee Bucks 116-94 at home on Friday night. New York never trailed and led by as much as 30, with Mikal Bridges adding 17 points and Jalen Brunson finishing with 15 points and nine assists.

Indiana collapsed defensively in the second half on Friday night, taking a 103-83 road drubbing from the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte buried 11-of-24 from 3-point range while outscoring the Pacers 59-39 after the break. Pascal Siakam led the offense with 27 points, Bennedict Mathurin added 22, Myles Turner posted 12 points and 10 rebounds and Tyrese Halibutron dished nine assists but scored only six points on 2-of-11 shooting.

The Knicks beat the Pacers 123-98 in New York back on Oct. 25. Towns averages 24.3 points and 12.8 rebounds for New York, with Brunson putting up 24.0 points and 6.1 assists per game. Siakam’s 20.7 points per game leads Indiana, with Mathurin posting 17.3 points a night, Turner providing 16.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest and Haliburton notching 14.7 points and 7.7 assists an outing.
