During this stretch Dallas has not only won six straight games, but 10 of the last 11. It is averaging 118.0 points per game, led by the elite play of Luka Doncic, who is averaging 29.4 points, 10.2 assists and 9.7 assists per game with five triple-doubles.

Houston’s great play has come from the play of Jalen Green, Amen Thompson and finally winning games on the road. Before this stretch Houston won two straight games on the road once in the first 29 games. Since then they have won seven straight games away from home and are in a position to steal a Play-In Tournament slot in the Western Conference.

A major part of this success has been the play of Green (28.9 points on 42.3 percent shooting from three), who has become a high volume, efficient three-point shooter over the last 14 games. Thompson has also stepped up as a starter, putting up 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game, starting nine of the last 14 games.
